If you're a lover of words, as I am, then you'll also be a lover of quotations. Who hasn't ever giggled at a particularly well-worded sentence or been swept of their feet by a paragraph of stunning prose? In honour of wonderful new website Quotables, I've been having a look at some of the best social media quotes.

Now, with social media being such a new medium, we can't claim to have any soundbites from great quoters from history such as Noel Coward, Marilyn Monroe or even Groucho Marx. Instead, we're limited to scoring the new media blogs and books that have sprung up over the past decade in order to find our pearls of wisdom. 

It's from such blogs, books and magazines that I've pulled together the following ten quotes. Some are useful, some insightful, and some are just a little bit funny. Enjoy!
